One&Only Cape Town brings resort-style luxury to the vibrant V&A Waterfront. With Table Mountain as a backdrop and a private island spa, it's a unique urban escape.
The hotel occupies a prime spot in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town's premier shopping and dining district. You're surrounded by restaurants, shops, and entertainment, yet the hotel feels like a tranquil oasis.
My room in the Marina Rise building offered stunning Table Mountain views. The contemporary design featured African-inspired touches, and the floor-to-ceiling windows maximized the spectacular scenery. The bathroom was spacious with a deep soaking tub.
The spa is located on its own private island, accessed by a short boat ride. This unique setting adds to the sense of escape. I enjoyed a massage in an overwater treatment room with views of the marina—it was incredibly relaxing.
The hotel houses several restaurants, including Nobu, which serves exceptional Japanese-Peruvian fusion cuisine. I also enjoyed breakfast at Reuben's, which showcased local South African ingredients and flavors.
The main pool area is a highlight—heated pools, comfortable loungers, and attentive service. It's the perfect spot to relax between exploring the city and nearby wine regions.
Unlike many luxury hotels, One&Only Cape Town is genuinely family-friendly. The kids' club is excellent, and the staff were wonderful with children. It's a rare combination of luxury and family accommodation.
The concierge was invaluable in planning excursions. I visited Robben Island, explored the Cape Winelands, and took a cable car up Table Mountain. The hotel's location made it easy to experience the best of Cape Town.
One&Only Cape Town successfully balances urban convenience with resort-style relaxation. It's ideal for travelers who want luxury accommodation in the heart of the action, with easy access to Cape Town's incredible attractions.
